tal, md
Michael is an Assistant Professor of Radiology at
the Yale University School of Medicine and creator of the
Critical Care technology. He graduated from Hadassah Medical
School in Jerusalem, Israel in 1995, and completed his training
at MCP Hahnemann University in Philadelphia and Yale University.
Dr. Tal, an expert in the field of vascular access, is a practicing
Interventional Radiologist has been at Yale University since
1999. He is a clinician and researcher with numerous publications
and over 30 presentations at national and international symposia.

cleman, md
Michael
presently holds the title of Professor of Medicine at Yale
University School of Medicine, and is the Director of the
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and Interventional Cardiology
programs at Yale New Haven Hospital. He has been an active
participant in the field of intereventional cardiology being
one of the original clinical investigators for coronary stents,
and rotational atherectomy. He remains an active investigator
in the area of interventional cardiac and vascular procedures.
Dr. Cleman attended Johns Hopkins University from 1970 to
1973. He subsequently attended Johns Hopkins Medical School
from 1973 to 1977, followed by completion of an internship
and residency at Shands Teaching Hospital, University of Florida
from 1977 to 1980. After completing his fellowship in cardiology
at Yale University School of Medicine between 1980 and 1982
he remained on the academic faculty.

jay solar, Ph.D.
Ronald Solar is CEO and a co-founder of ThermopeutiX,
Inc. He has been designing and developing medical devices
for over 25 years, and currently holds 37 United States Patents
plus a significant number of foreign patents. In addition
to his design and development skills, he has broad expertise
in other areas crucial to a successful medical device company.
Dr. Solar was a co-founder of three very successful medical
device companies, Versaflex Delivery Systems, Inc. (acquired
by Medtronic), Occam International, BV (intellectual property
acquired by Cordis, operating company acquired by local management),
and MEDgination, Inc. (merged with X Technologies and acquired
by Guidant). He also played a key role in the successful start
up of two other very successful medical device companies,
SciMed Life Systems, Inc. (acquired by Boston Scientific)
and Advanced Cardiovascular Systems, Inc. (acquired by Eli
Lilly, now Guidant Corp.). In 1989, Dr. Solar was recognized
by President George H. Bush as one of the Ten Outstanding
Young Americans, and Junior Chamber International selected
him as one of the Ten Outstanding Young People of the World
for his contributions in medical innovation. Dr. Solar received
his Ph.D. in Biomaterials and Materials Science from the University
of Pennsylvania in 1977.

Martin B. Leon, MD, FACC, FESC was a Clinical Professor
of Medicine at Georgetown University Medical Center, Washington,
DC from 1996-2000, Senior Attending Physician at Lenox Hill
Hospital 1999-2004 and is currently Professor of Medicine
at Columbia University Medical Center and Associate Director
of Cardiovascular Interventional Therapy (CIVT), New York,
NY. Dr. Leon was the founder and has been the Chairman of
the Cardiovascular Research Foundation (New York City) from
1990 to the present. Dr. Leon has co-authored over 1100 publications,
has performed over 7,000 interventional procedures, and has
had an important impact in several areas of interventional
vascular therapy, including endovascular stents, new device
angioplasty with atherectomy and laser techniques, intravascular
ultrasound angiogenesis therapies, drug-eluting stents and
transcatheter valve therapies. He was the founder and is the
Director of Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics, the
largest dedicated meeting in interventional vascular therapy
in the world, and he has also directed many other subspecialty
meetings and conferences both in the U.S.and internationally.
Dr. Leon is a graduate of the Yale School of Medicine, where
he also completed formal training in Internal Medicine and
Cardiology.

l. moureau, bsn, crni
Nancy Moureau is CEO and founder of PICC Excellence,
Inc, an educational company with a primary focus on PICC Training
for medical professionals. In addition to training and precepting
throughout the United States, Canada and the UK, she works
with manufacturers through research, consulting, curriculum
and product development. A graduate of East Carolina University
in North Carolina, Ms. Moureau has practiced in the areas
of vascular access for more than 25 years. She is a clinician,
educator and thought leader with numerous publications and
presentations both nationally and internationally on PICCs
and other issues dealing with infusion therapy.

m. goldfarb, md FACS
Dr. Goldfarb is a surgical oncologist with over 20
years clinical experience. He has been President of the California
Division of the American Cancer Society and is a Clinical
Professor of Surgery at University of California in San Diego.
He has been affiliated with Scripps Mercy, Sharp Community,
Grossmont, Alvarado, Coronado, and U.C.S.D. Thornton hospitals.
He has also been a Fellow with the American College of Surgeons
and a Member of the Society of Surgical Oncology and Society
of Head and Neck Surgeons. He has consulted for several medical
device and biotechnology companies helping to address issues
of regulatory strategy as well as develop clinical trials
for FDA and European regulatory approval and has testified
at several FDA sponsored meetings on combination product approval.
